# Closing BioStockInfo: Thank You and a Few Parting Notes

Dear subscribers,

This is the last article I will publish on BioStockInfo.

The site closes on 1 November 2026, and I am sorry for the very short notice.

The reason is simple. Running the site now costs over $100 a month, and I have recently started a new job. With both of those, I can no longer keep the work at the quality I wanted. I would rather close the site than let it slide into something I would not put my name on.

### What We Built

It was a short journey, but a busy one:

- **Weekly catalyst scanner articles**, built on my own pipeline that pulls catalysts directly from companies’ SEC filings
- **Single-name deep dives**, from targeted protein degradation to the hidradenitis suppurativa landscape
- **A free public catalyst calendar**, for anyone who wanted the dates without the paywall
- **Honest follow-ups**, including on calls I got wrong

Thank you to everyone who read, subscribed, and shared these articles, and especially to those of you who wrote in with questions or pushback. It made the work better.

### A Few Things I Would Leave You With

- **Read the primary sources.** The 8-K, the 10-Q and the ClinicalTrials.gov entry usually tell you more than the headline does.
- **Check the cash runway before the story.** A good drug at a company with two quarters of cash is still a financing waiting to happen.
- **Be careful with cross-trial comparisons.** Different patients, endpoints and timepoints can make a weaker drug look better.
- **Size positions for being wrong.** Binary readouts are binary, and I have been on the wrong side of them too.
